How It Works

You can submit a picture and provide as much information that you can

Once approved the image will be in the Un Identified Galley

If someone browsing the gallery recognises something about a picture like the place the people, the event and so on they can submit the information, once reviewed the picture will be moved to the Identified Gallery and the submitter will receive an email say the picture information has been updated.

If whilst browsing the identified Gallery someone has more information, then they can submit that for review.

Copyright and Privacy

• For works created after January 1, 1978, copyright generally lasts for the life of the creator plus 70 years. 
• For works published before 1923, they are generally considered to be in the public domain. 
• For works published between 1923 and 1977, the copyright duration is more complex

If at any time someone recognises themselves they can request it be removed and Looking Back will respect that.
